Cookie policy
What we mean by cookies
Cookies are small text files that your browser saves when a website asks it to, so the site can remember something from one page or visit to the next. This policy treats similar tools, such as your browser's local storage, in the same way.
What the site stores
| Name | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| pi_lang | Cookie | Remembers the language you picked with the language selector, so the site doesn't switch you back to your browser's language. It is only set if you use the selector. | 1 year |
| pi_club_cola | Local storage | Only if you try to join the Club without a connection: keeps your sign-up (your email, your name if you gave it and the box you ticked) on your device and sends it automatically the next time you open the Club form. It is deleted as soon as it has been sent. | Until it is sent, or until you clear this site's data in your browser |
Both are created by partyislandgroup.com itself, stay on your device, are not shared with anyone and don't follow you to other websites. They are needed to do what you asked for, so they don't require consent.
Without the cookie, the site picks the language from your browser's settings each time you arrive. That setting is read, not stored.
Our team's private area
Members of our team who sign in to the private area where we manage the database receive a session cookie that keeps them signed in. It is never set for visitors.
No analytics and no advertising
This site doesn't measure your visit, doesn't show adverts and doesn't load social media plugins. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to accept. If we ever add a statistics tool, it will only run if you accept it in a banner with an Accept and a Reject button of equal size, and this policy will list its cookies before it starts.
Other websites
Links on this site lead to the Party Island destination websites and to WhatsApp, which apply their own cookie policies once you are there. Event posters load directly from the destination websites and from GetYourTickets, so their servers see your IP address and browser, as with any image online. This site cannot place or read cookies for any of them.
Blocking or deleting them
Your browser's privacy or site-data settings show what each website has stored and let you block or delete it. If you block or delete what this site stores, it won't remember your language, and a Club sign-up saved without a connection will be lost.
